These terms apply to every order placed on numberplatemaker.co.uk. Number Plate Maker is a trading name of [COMPANY NAME], registered in England and Wales (company number [COMPANY NUMBER]), registered office [ADDRESS]. We are a DVLA Registered Number Plate Supplier (registration number [RNPS NUMBER]).
1. Ordering
1.1 When you place an order you’ll receive an acknowledgement email. A contract is formed when we confirm your order is going into production.
1.2 You’re responsible for checking your registration, spelling, sizes and options before ordering. Plates are made exactly as designed.
2. Road-legal plates and documents
2.1 By law we must see proof of your identity and your entitlement to display the registration before we make road-legal plates. We’ll hold your order until we receive and verify suitable documents.
2.2 If we can’t verify your documents, or we believe a registration is being ordered without entitlement, we’ll cancel the order and refund you in full.
2.3 You confirm that the documents you provide are genuine and that you are entitled to the registration.
3. Show plates
3.1 Show plates are not road legal and are sold for display at shows, on private land and as decoration only.
3.2 By ordering a show plate you agree not to display it on a vehicle used on a public road. We aren’t responsible for any fines or penalties if a show plate is used on the road.
4. Prices and payment
4.1 Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Delivery is charged at checkout.
4.2 We reserve the right to correct pricing errors before your order is accepted.
5. Delivery
5.1 Delivery estimates start from dispatch, after documents are verified for road-legal plates. See our delivery page.
5.2 Risk passes to you on delivery.
6. Cancellations and returns
6.1 Number plates are made to your specification and are personalised goods, so the 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 doesn’t apply once production has started.
6.2 Faulty, damaged or incorrect plates will be replaced or refunded as set out in our returns policy.
7. Liability
7.1 We’re responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms. We aren’t responsible for losses caused by incorrect information you provide, by fitting, or by using show plates on the road.
7.2 Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.
8. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You may also bring proceedings in Scotland or Northern Ireland if you live there.
